Evergreen Wisteria

Millettia reticulata (Evergreen Wisteria)

Millettia reticulata (Evergreens)

Evergreen Wisteria, unlike the more common wisteria, has a shrubby upright habit that adapts well to a trellis, archway or fence. It is the perfect selection for the gardener who declines to overpower a garden area with a more spreading vine. The woody-stemmed plant has deep purple/maroon hued flower clusters that mimic both the common wisteria and the sweet pea vine, and the leaves are shiny medium-dark green.
