Persimmon 'Fuyu'
Diospyros kaki 'Fuyugaki'(Fruits/Veggies)
The Fuyu, when freshly picked, has the sweetness and crispness of an apple. The most prized of the Japanese varieties, it is seedless and, when allowed to soften, an excellent choice in making persimmon cookies and puddings. The tree bears large, round, reddish-orange fruit in November, which contrasts beautifully with its bright gold fall leaves.
